Lovely French Art Deco picture photo frame. Featuring a thick hand-rubbed dark wood plinth with a Macassar imitation texture pattern and extra-long polished chrome metal stick. The frame is complete with two glass sheets to enclose the photograph. The picture can be placed in landscape or portrait position. The use of decorative patterns imitating Macassar wood is typical of pieces produced in France after the beginning of WWII when the blockade (Blocus in French) was preventing imported exotic woods from arriving by boats to France, occupied by the Germans.
