This is a stunning modernist aluminum ice bucket or wine cooler crafted in France circa 1950. Specially designed for tall Alsace white wine bottles, this rare bottle chiller is also compatible with other wine bottles. It was in use in restaurants in France in the 1950s. The wine cooler features red Bakelite handles and a copper plaque with an engraved advertisement on the front. 
The plaque reads: Dopff Domaines Dopff - Clos du Moulin - Riquewihr - URBA. This ice bucket is a perfect barware accessory for a fancy party.
