This stylish Art Deco metal "dinanderie" uplight table lamp was created by Lucien Gerfaux (France - 20th Century). The metalware (either brass or copper) has a mottled brown patina with inlaid silver metal in geometric patterns. Typical modernist Art Deco design. It is signed on the base "L. Gerfaux." The lamp is fully rewired to fit US standards.
The term "dinanderie" comes from the Flemish town Dinant where objects, usually in bronze, brass, or copper, were made from the Middle Ages onwards.
