French silversmith Memery and Cie, Villeurbanne, France, crafted this lovely Art Deco silver plate cylindrical cocktail or Martini Shaker in the 1940s. The three-sectioned cocktail shaker has a removable cap and filter strainer. This barware accessory has a beautiful Art Deco style with a carved geometric design. The legal silversmith hallmarks are on the side of the container and the strainer.

Note: Robert Memery, a goldsmith, settled in Lyon in 1930 and opened his goldsmith workshop, Memery et Cie. The company no longer exists.

Good - The bar accessory is in good condition, with minimal wear on the metal due to previous use. The edge of the strainer has minor dents due to previous use. Check the close-up. The inside is in excellent condition, and the metal is shiny.Please note that this is a cocktail shaker with a reversed closure (the strainer goes inside the container); thus, over time, the shape loosens, and this cocktail shaker leaks. We recommend it for decoration or collection only.
