Rare Mid-Century Modern nude bronze relief sculpture by Giovanni Schoeman from his London period (late 1960s-late 1970s).
Featuring a kneeling nude woman in profile, unusually mounted on a thick rosewood plinth with a custom-made black metal base. This Schoeman's sculpture is fascinating on several level. Straight geometric lines and original timeless patina, deconstructed into core parts with severe geometric or cubist representation, very typical of the Brutalist style of the period.
