Daum France designed and crafted this stunning crystal cigar ashtray, catchall, or vide-poche bowl circa 1970. The blown clear crystal is heavily carved with a square, weighty shape and geometric frosted decor. The structure alternates perfectly polished areas with satin-finished sections, creating a refined material contrast that enhances the depth and brilliance of the crystal.
At the center of the composition is a cobalt blue glass sphere, an iconic element of the Daum visual language, that introduces a vibrant focal point and adds visual tension to the object's dynamic form. The vide poche is signed on the side edge with the acid-etched "Daum - France" mark.
