This striking sculptural bowl, rendered in luminous translucent crystal, was created by Daum—one of France's most celebrated crystal ateliers—in Nancy circa 1950. Renowned for their innovative techniques and awarded the Grand Prix at the 1900 Universal Exhibition, Daum consistently pushed the boundaries of modern design.
The important piece features an elongated oblong silhouette with softly tapered ends and fluid, curvilinear contours that capture and refract light beautifully. Its bold, modernist form exemplifies the forward‑thinking aesthetic that made Daum a defining name in 20th‑century crystal artistry.
An exceptional centerpiece and a collectible work of French design, the bowl is signed "Daum France" along the edge.
