Lovely 1930s French Art Deco black glass vase, a matching pair. Silver deposit decoration all around the top with a striped geometric pattern. Marked underside with a monogram "F" very likely for Fains. Although commonly named "black glass" or "black opaline," this glass quality is a deep amethyst purple color when placed under intense light.
