Superb Art Deco pair of crackled ceramic bookends by Le Moine, France. Off-white crackle-glaze ceramic or faience sculpture featuring a pair of elephants with a contrasting black enameled glaze. The bookends are marked "Le Moine" on the base of each piece. There is also a mark reading "VF" underside, which is very likely the manufacturer's hallmark.
