This beautiful enamel and pate de verre link choker necklace was handcrafted by Lazerat Limoges, France, in the 1950s. The enameled round domed copper elements are in graduated shapes and hinged together with a serpentine chain in brass. This popular 1950s and 1960s technique named "cookies" was used in Limoges to create jewelry. Copper pieces were silver-foiled or gild-foiled, then decorated with clear enamel and topped with colored fused glass, producing fabulous colors with an intense glow. The choker boasts purple and gold colors over a silver foil background. The necklace has a barrel-closing clasp. The signature is at the back of each piece and reads "Lazerat - Limoges."
