This exquisite Loewe-designed ice bucket is a rare piece crafted in Spain circa 1980. This statement-making treasure boasts a sleek, modernist silhouette, expertly crafted from chromed metal and adorned with opulent, gilded brass accents. The Loewe designer's iconic logo and a striking, dimensional striped motif grace the front, exuding sophistication. Inside, a stunning copper-pink glass insulated liner adds both beauty and function. Underside legal hallmarks confirm its authenticity: Loewe—Made in Spain. The Loewe designer's logo and a dimensional striped design adorn the container's front. A masterpiece of design and craftsmanship, this exceptional bar accessory is a true collector's gem.
Note: Given their Spanish heritage, one would be forgiven for assuming that Loewe's company name and its pronunciation derive from Castilian. The provenance is firmly rooted in Germany.
The house was founded originally in 1846 by a group of Spanish craftsmen in Madrid as a leathermaking collective. It was not until 1876, thirty years later, that the technically gifted leatherworker Enrique Loewe Roessberg arrived from Germany, took over, and consolidated the operation under a unified banner. He bestowed the company with his name, and the brand as we know it today was born.
Since its inception, Loewe has valued artisanal techniques in their research for modern design and fine craftsmanship.
