A stunning French Art Deco style silver plate cylindrical cocktail or Martini shaker manufactured by silversmith Christofle, as part of their range in the "Ondulation" design, created by Luc Lanel in the 1930s. Christofle company produced the "Ondulation" collection for the luxury liner SS Normandie. Luc Lanel was the designer for this collection. This grand ocean liner's first-class passenger spaces were decorated in the trendiest Art Deco style and filled with luxuries. The bars were filled with the nicest Art Deco cocktail shakers. 
The Christofle company re-edited the "ondulation" shaker models in the 1960s. 
Three-sectioned designed cocktail shaker with removable cap and strainer. Lovely Art Deco design with decorative bands of engraving around the base. Marked underside with legal silversmith hallmarks, "Christofle - France," together with the Chess O/C (Orfevrerie Christofle.)
The shaker comes with its original branded gift storage box.
